Veggan diet
The veggan diet follows the same principles as a standard vegan diet — no meat, fish, dairy, or other animal-derived products — with one specific exception: eggs are permitted.
This distinguishes it from:
- Vegan — excludes eggs entirely
- Vegetarian — permits both eggs and dairy
- Pescatarian — permits fish, not necessarily eggs
For people who found dairy or meat easy to give up but rely on eggs for protein, texture, or cooking versatility, veggan offers a middle path that’s stricter than vegetarian but more flexible than vegan.
